Rack 01 The front rail

Posh Peanut

Designed for Style. Made for Comfort.

This concept page is built like a clothing rack. Every section hangs from the same bar, the way the first racks hung in a family garage before there was a store.

Rack 02 The garage

Posh Peanut’s story began in 2011

With a successful career as a hairstylist in Los Angeles, Fiona was a first-time mom who was unable to find bold, fashion-forward designs that didn’t compromise quality. The available options seemed redundant, boring, and all too pre-defined market-wide. But after working in the beauty industry for many years, Fiona developed skill sets that shaped her vision as an entrepreneur and gave her the wherewithal to simply create what she knew was lacking.

Danilo’s note. I start the page here on purpose. The brand began as one person’s answer to a gap she could see from the inside, and that is a better opening than any discount banner.

Aha Moment

With a glue gun in hand and an unwavering determination to produce styles that blended fashion and function seamlessly, Fiona launched Posh Peanut with all handmade clothing and accessories that were conceptualized and crafted in her family’s home and sold on Etsy. Fiona introduced her bold and distinctive style to the children’s space and saw immediate success. This journey led her to explore the bamboo world and its benefits, expanding the product line to include one-pieces, dresses, and loungewear.

Posh Peanut Today

Posh Peanut has set the highest standards in children's textiles, harnessing cutting-edge innovations in textile production. Signature designs that are nothing short of show-stopping – sophisticated yet incredibly comfortable and functional. Over the years, we nurtured an extraordinary community unlike any other brand, and our customers have been the driving force behind Posh Peanut’s direction and growth.

Danilo’s note. The last line of that paragraph is the one I would build a content engine on: the customers steered the brand. A creator program only has to give that steering a stage.

Four hangers from the front of the rack, each one a different reason to walk in.

Rack 06 Prints

Every print gets its own hanger

Ten swatches pulled from the rack, with the names exactly as the brand writes them.

Rack 07 Velour ledger

Posh Botanica velour, piece by piece

Velour fabric has a luxe, velvet-like sheen with plush softness. Eight pieces from the product pages, with the brand’s own descriptions and prices.

Care, for the whole velour rack: machine wash cold with like colors, tumble dry low, cool iron if needed.

Rack 08 Twirl corner

Short tutu sets, eight characters

The Disney pajama short tutu sets hang together at the end of the bar. Same silhouette, eight different stories, each one named on the product page.

Rack 09 Pause

A note from Danilo

I did not want this page to look like a template with a new color on top. So it borrows three things from the home page: the pale aqua band, the serif headlines, and the habit of sliding rails. Everything else comes from the garage.

The Importance Of Introducing Your Child To A Lovey

A special lovey provides wonderful comfort and can be a treasured keepsake for years to come.

What is a lovey?

Do you remember having a lovey when you were little? Many of us have fond memories of a cozy “blankie,” a beloved teddy bear or other soft toy that we loved to cuddle when we were growing up.

A lovey can be any item that provides your child with comfort and a sense of security — usually it’s an especially huggable small blanket or toy. Your baby’s first comfort item might be a handkerchief-sized, silky binkie lovey, a buttery-soft swaddle, or an extra-plush blanket.

As children grow, many form a strong emotional attachment with one special blankie that they prefer over all others, or they may choose a favorite stuffed animal or doll as their primary comfort object.

The right age to introduce a lovey

Many new moms begin to introduce a soft lovey to infants during daytime nursing and supervised playtime. A handkerchief-sized blanket, such as a binky lovey, is a good choice for this first comfort item. (One of our best-selling gifts for newborns, these ultra-soft, small blankets come with a clever loop to attach to your baby’s pacifier.)

Swaddling blankets also make wonderfully cuddly loveys. The same soft-and-stretchy swaddle that you use as a snug newborn wrap can take on new life as a beloved comfort item for older babies and toddlers. Other children love the ritual of being tucked in each night with their favorite Plush Patoo™. These heirloom-quality baby blankets are luxuriously soft and have a slightly weighted feel. As little ones become more independent, they often choose this kind of extra-plush blanket as their #1 comfort “blankie” for bedtime.

Why do children need loveys?

As babies grow, these beloved objects can serve as “a bridge between the mother and the external world,” according to infant mental health researcher Alicia Lieberman, a professor at the University of California, San Francisco.

How loveys boost confidence and independence

Child psychologists often describe loveys as “transitional objects,” because they help little ones make the necessary transition from the complete dependence of infancy to a growing sense of independence and self-mastery as they move into childhood.

For preschoolers, having a cozy blanket or huggable toy with them gives them a boost of confidence as they head out into the world. We design our lightweight backpacks just for these littlest kids, and we add exterior straps and pockets so that blankies and other special friends can ride along.

How to choose a lovey

Texture, especially cuddly softness, is a primary component of a child’s experience with their lovey, so washability and long-lasting softness is critical. Especially if your child’s comfort item is a cozy swaddle or blanket, you’ll want a high-quality fabric weave that comes out of the dryer soft and fluffy, no matter how many times it’s been washed.

Another consideration is durability. Many little ones treasure their loveys through childhood and beyond, so look for high-quality craftsmanship. Ideally, your child’s lovey should be able to stand up to years of cuddling.

Common misconceptions about loveys

Some new parents worry that their child will become overly dependent on a lovey or that they’ll have a hard time letting go when it’s time to begin elementary school.

In fact, many children and even some adults enjoy keeping their loveys as they move through their lives. These days, many young adults still treasure their childhood loveys, even bringing their favorite comfort item with them to college — all the more reason to ensure that your child’s lovey is durable enough to become a lasting keepsake in the years to come.

Rack 13 After hours

Keeping Your Baby Warm and Cozy All Night

Ensuring your little one’s comfort at night comes down to several factors, including clothing and room temperature.

How to Dress Your Baby for a Safe and Comfortable Sleep

Babies sleep—a lot. Typical newborns will sleep for 14-17 hours a day, and sometimes up to 19 hours. To put that in perspective, adults only need around 7-9 hours of sleep (although if you’re a new parent, you’re likely getting a little bit less).

What you may be less sure of, however, is what your baby should wear while sleeping. If you’re a new or expectant parent asking yourself how to dress a baby for sleep, this guide is for you. Learn what makes for the best materials, find the keys to keeping your baby safe and comfortable through the night, and discover your baby’s new favorite sleep clothes.

Tip #1: Choose the Right Sleepwear

With baby sleepwear options ranging from one-pieces to sleep sacks, determining how to dress your baby for sleep can feel a little overwhelming. Here’s a helpful rule of thumb to keep in mind: generally speaking, you only need to put your baby in one more layer than you would wear.

Layering is critical to understanding sleepwear for babies. Baby too cold? Add a layer. Too warm? Remove a layer or two.

Tip #2: Set the Ideal Room Temperature for Your Baby

Aside from clothing, room temperature also plays an essential role in keeping your baby cozy at night. It’s recommended to keep your baby’s room temperature between 68 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Many smart baby monitors have temperature sensors so you can easily check the temperature and humidity levels in your baby’s nursery.

Tip #3: Use Sleep Sacks Instead of Blankets

A sleep sack resembles a sleeping bag with arms, complete with a zipper to make diaper changes easy. Your baby’s needs will change as they grow older. Many children want to feel less restricted in movement as they age, making the transition from a sleep sack to regular baby girl or baby boy pajamas ideal.

Other Sleep Tips to Keep in Mind

Consider your bassinet location – Move your baby’s crib away from drafty windows and air vents. Also, avoid using a space heater in your child’s room; never leave one unattended.

Avoid coverings for your baby’s head – While hats or beanies are well-intentioned, they’re unnecessary when your baby is asleep as they could slip off in the night.

Practice safe sleep habits – Put your baby to sleep alone in their crib or bassinet, on their back. It’s best not to use regular mattresses, couches, car seats, or swings for sleep.

If this rack looks like how Posh Peanut should be shown, let’s talk.

This page, the ad concepts, the growth plan and the creator engine in the tabs above all start from the same place: the garage, the glue gun and the community that steered the brand.

Danilo’s note. I would rather show up with a working idea than a promise. Pick any hanger on this page, and I can walk you through what I would test on it first.
